On November 23, 2022, the "2021·11·16" e-cigarette case of counterfeit registered trademark was jointly investigated by the public Security Bureau and the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration in Chenzhou City and Zixing City of Hunan Province.

It is reported that on November 16, 2021, Zixing Public Security Bureau and Tobacco Monopoly Bureau destroyed 3 production dens of fake registered trademarks of "VOOPOO" and "SMOK" e-cigarette, arrested 3 suspects and seized 391,800 fake registered trademarks of e-cigarette core. Three laser coding machines, three aluminum-plastic blister packaging machines, one transport vehicle, three tons of aluminum-plastic materials, and 180,000 pieces of fake registered trademark identification materials. The amount involved was 5,622,800 yuan.

In order to further investigate the case, the public security and tobacco departments of Chenzhou and Zixing immediately set up a joint task force. Through multi-department cooperation and multi-degree investigation and conviction, 21 suspects were successfully arrested, 21 were detained, 7 were arrested and 14 were released on bail. The total amount involved reached 90,60,500 yuan, involving Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Zhejiang and other provinces (regions).

Counterfeit registered trademark e-cigarettes are generally produced illegally by small workshops and factories that have not obtained the license of e-cigarettes production enterprises. Not only is the sanitary environment dirty and bad, but there is no quality testing equipment. The products may have problems such as disorderly addition and serious excessive harmful substances, and the safety problem is worrying.
